I love the thoughts behind the edits; they encourage me because I apply a similar rationale to my editing in terms of level of detail, depth of thought/analysis, sensitivity to rhythm re: sentence length and content volume, and consideration of redundancy/repetition. It was very encouraging to see those familiar lines of thinking—especially as I am almost done editing (again) a book I have been editing since I wrote it in 2006-2007.
