Hurray! I love this idea! One of the main reasons why I write my newsletter Doing the Write Thing is to help interested writers get in and stay in the habit of writing.
I look forward to learning from the book and the writers' book club! Thanks for sharing!
I think I wade, too, and then dive in. Not just with writing, but with swimming too! I get into the pool, dislike how cold it is, and then jump forward so that it feels like the water goes from cold to warm within seconds, ah.
Although, with writing, to be honest, I so dislike the process of re-figuring out where I was in a story that starting a few years ago, I made sure to not be out of my story In Your Dreams for "too long". (Yes, it's taking years to edit it, and it's almost ready, yay!) So no wading or diving required there for a while hehe.
I am so happy I found you here on Substack. I look forward to learning from this book, and you. :) Doreen
Glad to see you here and hoping we’ll all learn a lot together!

PS. I totally understand the pool analogy--I think it works so well for writing too: https://doingthewritething.substack.com/p/writing-inspiration-jump-into-the.
Just read this post—I love the idea that you can “wade” or “dive” into a story. I think I’m a wader!
Thank you for reading the post—I am honoured!

Thank you again for reading—that means a lot!
