If you’ve been enjoying my prose critique series and would like to see your excerpt critiqued in my newsletter, I’d love to hear from you!
Would you like me to critique your prose for free in my newsletter?
Here’s how it works:
Email 500 words of any page of your manuscript to me. (Do not send a query letter for critique.)
I’ll post some or all of your submission in an upcoming newsletter. Please tell me if you’d like your name and title included; otherwise, I will redact both.
You and all of my newsletter readers will see my notes and suggestions for how to improve the grammar and style of the part of your submission I post.
For this type of critique, I won’t be focusing on character, plot, setting, etc, which is what I usually focus on with paid critiques. This is a rare chance to get my comments on your writing style. See past Prose Critiques here to get an idea for what that looks like.
I really want to thank everyone who has emailed me or commented on a Prose Critique post to let me know that the series has helped and encouraged you. My aim is to help my fellow writers in the same way so many writers often help me. By allowing me to post your work, you’re helping your fellow writers as well. I really appreciate your generosity!
Thank you for considering sharing your work, and happy writing!
